About
The Fox Valley Warrior Aid Alliance was founded in 2018, inspired by a passion for Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) tools. Initially focused on helping children, the concept quickly expanded to support veterans and first responders facing mental health challenges, particularly PTSD and suicide prevention.
While the original idea didn’t gain traction at first, the alarming rise in suicide rates among veterans and first responders—now exceeding 44 per day—brought it back to life in June 2024. With an estimated 160,600 veterans at risk of suicide in the next decade, our determination to make a difference grew stronger.
Inspired by a "Trauma Therapy Bundle", we developed the Warrior Response Tool Kits, offering practical, science-backed resources to help veterans manage stress, trauma, and daily struggles. Recognizing that the children of those who serve also face unique challenges, we expanded our mission to include Resilient Kids Resource Kits, equipping them with emotional resilience tools to thrive.
Through partnerships with service organizations, mental health professionals, and The Center for Suicide Awareness, we provide holistic support to veterans, first responders, and their families. With the addition of HOPELINE 741741, we connect those in crisis with free, 24/7, confidential text-based support.
We are currently serving the Fox Valley, NE Wisconsin, Milwaukee, and Bristol areas, ensuring that every kit is personally delivered to those in need.
Together, we can make a lasting impact on the lives of our heroes and their families.
